The Ambassador of Portugal, Dr. Manuela Bairos, concluded her Diplomatic Mission and today came to bid farewell to the academic community of UNDIL.<\/p>\n
Representing the Rector, Professor Doctor Jos\u00e9 Agostinho da Costa Belo Pereira, who was absent due to force majeure, the Pro-Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Doctor M. Azancot de Menezes, was present.<\/p>\n
Also in attendance were the President of the BOAKRIL Foundation, Dr. Est\u00eav\u00e3o Belo; Vice-Rectors Dr. Francisco Martins and Dr. Augusto Tom\u00e1s Correia; the Deans of the Faculty of Economics (Professor Doctor Alfredo dos Santos) and the Faculty of Health Sciences (Dr. Fitri Kusumasari); lecturers from the Faculty of Education, Department of Portuguese Language and CPLP Cultures (Dr. Fernanda Formoso da Silva and Dr. Eug\u00e9nia Viegas); and students Maria de Lurdes and Milena Vicente.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, UNDIL presented a Certificate of Recognition<\/strong> to the Ambassador of Portugal in appreciation of her efforts and dedication in Timor-Leste (2022\u20132025). In return, the Ambassador offered UNDIL the renowned work \u201cTimorese Architecture\u201d<\/em>, authored by Ruy Cinatti, Leopoldo de Almeida, and Sousa Mendes, among others, as well as a traditional Portuguese viola.<\/p>\n UNDIL and the Embassy of Portugal have maintained multiple activities in support of the Portuguese language and in strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two peoples and countries.
